Lockout is Over

Well, we can all exhale now.  The NFL lockout is now officially over…but there is still a ton of negotiating to be dealt. The judge, representing from Minnesota, decided in favor of the Player’s Organization-which ultimately lifted the lockout that was orginially placed on the league by the owners. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell released this statement on behalf of the NFL in reaction to the decision: “We will promptly seek a stay from Judge Nelson pending an expedited appeal to the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals.” Both parties are set to meet again on May 16th, to discuss further bargaining agreements, also to decided if the players should be compensated for their money lost during the lockout.
