As I mentioned in the previous blog, Denver has been selected to play Oakland in one of the first Monday Night games. Flashback to last season when these two teams met during their second meeting, the Broncos were embarrassed in what was recorded as one of their worst losses ever as a franchise and breaking the record for the worst lost against Oakland in both team’s history. They were home, by the way.
This game will certainly be a tough test even though Oakland may not appear, on paper, to be a severe threat. This game will ultimately test the new ideas and philosophies developed in Denver by newly installed head coach John Fox. Will his defensive mentality pay off, or will this be another horrific repeat. Let’s not hope for the latter.
