Tebow-Voluntary Workouts During Lockout

“I believe in them, and they believe in me.” These are the words from Broncos QB, Tim Tebow. Many articles leading up to the final days of the draft that contained the “gossip” of how Denver would use their picks to draft another QB due to their uncertainty with Tebow, have proved to be nothing more than rumors. Unlike what many suggested, the Broncos used their picks wisely, drafting players to fulfill their needs, and create opportunities for competition for starting spots, once camp opens.
John Elway, who describes himself as Tebow’s “biggest fan”, stressed the importance of having someone like him on their team. Although the QB situation is still up in the air in Denver, considering that they still do have Kyle Orton, who believe it or not, is a damn good QB, Tebow’s role this year has still not been mentioned by the organization. Tebow has explained to ESPN how he is taking advantage of the lockout the best he can, by voluntarily setting up QB-Receiver drills with players such as Brandon Lloyd and Jabar Gaffney. Tebow said, “ Other guys might be taking it easy. So this might be an opportunity for me to outwork people.” One thing is for sure, love him or hate, the kid has a tough worth ethic, which ultimately grasps the attention of the organization as a “keeper”.
