As draft time gets closer and closer, the Denver Broncos, who by the way due to their “unique” season, have the second overall pick. There has been much speculation due to the comments and appearances made by vice president, John Elway, that there might be a significant chance that Denver uses their top pick for another QB. To recount shortly, Denver has drafted two QB’s in the last two years (Tim Tebow and Tom Brandstater) and of course traded for two other QB’s, Kyle Orton and Brady Quinn. With the new era upon us of the John Fox association, it’s possible that a QB might be drafted for the sake of having another exclusive backup-under several conditions. The best possible scenario to play out (if they do in fact draft a new QB), would be to try to trade Orton for a decent draft pick, and allow Tebow to prove himself as a defining starter, as he did the last three games of the season. Tebow would be given a year to develop into the potential franchise player, or else the reigns would be handed over to someone else.
I for one would definitely not recommended them drafted a QB. They simply have too many needs to fulfill and ultimately are in a great position to fill them. By drafting a new QB, it could send the organization back even farther into their already embarrassed state.
