8-Game Contingency Schedule

Due the ongoing issue regarding the status of the NFL Lockout, the NFL has imposed an 8-game contingency plan that would obviously shortened amount of games in a season and in particular would cut two games that would potentially shock many. The Broncos would be forced to not have matchups against the Raiders and have two out of the eight games available against Chiefs this season. Despite the Raiders being apart of the AFC West, the NFL feels that these games need to be cut. The 8-game contingency schedule would potentially be as follows:

Game 1-at Kansas City
Game 2-NY Jets
Game 3- at San Diego
Game 4- at Minnesota
Game 5- Chicago
Game 6- Patriots
Game 7- Buffalo
Game 8- Kansas City

They would miss playing: Green Bay, a home game against San Diego, their bye week, Miami, Detroit, and of course Oakland.
