Brady Quinn Wants a Shot at No.1

I think it’s fair to say that after all the talk of Tebow, the draft, and the possible trading scenarios of Kyle Orton, many, if not everyone, has forgotten about the 3rd string QB, Brady Quinn. In a recent interview with SBnation.com, Quinn was enthusiastic about his role this year on the team, and is looking forward to the competition in camp to become the starter. While no one is predicting Quinn as the starting QB, he did have this to say: “ I want to be No. 1. I feel that Orton and Tebow both had a chance last year and I didn’t get an opportunity. I’d love to get an opportunity to help us win games and get this team to the playoffs and see what happens from here.”
Quinn has not played in a regular season game since 2009, and when he did, he completed only 53 percent of his passes and threw eight touchdowns with seven interceptions. However, to give him the benefit of the doubt, he was protected by Cleveland’s O-line, which would explain why he was sacked 19 times in such a small window of play.
