To add to the even more controversial discussion, that being the Denver Broncos’ daily organization decisions, the Broncos have now decided to cut ties with their former first round pick Richard Quinn. Quinn, selected during the infamous “McDaniel era,” only caught one pass during his two years in Denver. He was mostly used as a blocking tight end and as a specialist.
The Broncos announced via Twitter that their settlement has voided Quinn’s contract therefore he is entitled to sign with another team as a free agent.
What sparks as the most interesting aspect of this decision is how 6 of 10 draft picks made under Josh McDaniel are no longer part of the organization. Coincidence?
