Broncos Lose Preseason Opener

After what seemed would be like the most boring Fall season ever, football is finally back, and the Broncos were hosted by the Dallas Cowboys in their first preseason game yesterday night. Orton, who started the game, had a solid first series yet it was the surprising run game behind Knowshon Moreno and Willis McGahee that led to an early field-goal.  They rushed for over 40 yards in just six plays.
Of course, the spotlight of the entire game was on Tim Tebow, as all the pressure from the fans, the organization, and of course, the impatient critics were beamed towards him. Although he was not perfect, he played well. He had a solid completion rate and a memorable zooming pass down the field that will definitely be shown on ESPN over and over again.
Brady Quinn, who had the only passing touchdown of the game, proved that he can still play in the NFL, and he ultimately gave Tebow a run for his money, as the competition for that second spot will be tougher and tougher to decide as the regular season draws nearer.
The Broncos, however, managed to fall just short in Dallas, as they took their first loss of the preseason from a score of 24-23.  Their next scheduled preseason game is against the Buffalo Bills.
